The opening odds for Saturday night’s Sprint Unlimited at Daytona International Speedway have been released. Without much surprise, last year’s Daytona 500 winner and restrictor plate guru, Dale Earnhardt Jr leads all other drivers at just less than 10-1 odds as the overall favorite. Of course Saturday night’s exhibition race is nearly impossible to predict which is the reason that the odds are rather generous for most of NASCAR’s top drivers. When the green flag drops Saturday night, it will mark the first time cars have been on the track in race competition in 2015 meaning there are a lot of unknowns still waiting to be answered. The good news is the Sprint Unlimited combined with next week’s Budweiser Duels should give us some better data as we prepare for The Great America Race in the Daytona 500 that will be held on February 22nd. For now take a look at the current Sprint Unlimited odds courtesy of 5Dimes, the book you must have for NASCAR betting.
