NASCARWagers – Important Announcement for 2024 Season
Daytona Speedweeks has arrived and we are less than a week away from the 66th running of the Daytona 500 which will officially kick off another year of weekly betting picks and previews. To all of our returning subscribers, thank you for the continued support. There have been a ton of changes in the sport in recent years that have made NASCAR handicapping more difficult but we have persevered with profitable campaigns for 6 out of the last 7 years with nearly 200 units of profit in the last 3 years!
For the upcoming race season, I wanted to highlight some important changes that will be coming to our weekly betting previews and picks. I have highlighted all of the changes below in hopes to bring a better overall product for our subscribers. While these changes should be beneficial for the vast majority of readers and subscribers, I realize there may be some others that have adverse impacts. Therefore, I wanted to be fully transparent on the upcoming changes so that bettors will have full notice prior to the season.
Upcoming Changes for 2024 Season
Legal Sportsbooks
Since this site has existed, we have primarily focused our “betting picks” using off-shore odds because it previously was the universal and accepted betting market. In recent years, there has been a major shift across the country to legalize online gambling and the vast majority of states are now accepting online wagers. As a result, NASCARWagers has made the decision to adapt legal sportsbooks for our betting odds, match-ups, props, and overall race picks. Personally, I believe this change will create much better betting opportunities due to the ability to parlay different types of betting selections which is mostly prohibited off-shore. While I realize that every bettor is not in a legal jurisdiction, I believe this is the best decision for the majority which should lead to better profits.
For those bettors that may not have access to legal odds, I will continue to provide robust previews that highlights my betting angles/predictions. Our previews have always striven to be very detailed so bettors can make their own decisions because match-ups/odds may not be the same from book to book. As many of you are aware, I have a lot of people reach out for betting advice especially in situations where match-ups may not be available that we have selected with our official race picks. The move to the legal sportsbooks should help minimize the amount of bettors that are unable to get the exact match-ups that we select. Furthermore, I’m always available for quick responses on Twitter if anyone needs help alternating drivers for particular match-ups or prop bets.
Push Notifications
If you visit the website from any device, you should see a blue notifications icon that you can select and subscribe to push notifications to your device. One of the most requested items that I consistently get from my subscribers revolves around requests from individuals that would like prompt notifications for when bets/picks are posted so they can jump on the selections before we experience significant line movement. These push notifications will be available to everyone that wants this service, free of charge, and will notify subscribers when previews are posted and updated which is important for when plays are being added to already published content. Therefore, I hope these notifications provide the opportunity to keep everyone aware of each selection in a timely manner!
Early Betting Picks
For my subscribers that have been around since the early days, NASCARWagers previously would email early betting picks each week in an attempt to capture the best early numbers in terms of opening betting odds each week. Over the last few years, I got away from this practice because of the concerns listed above related to timeliness. Often, subscribers would miss the immediate delivery of those emails and potentially miss the opportunity at the early betting value. To avoid those issues, I completely stopped providing early picks over the last few years. Instead, most of our betting selections were based on betting odds that were listed within 24 hours of each race. While my intentions were to release picks closer to race time and have everyone acceptable to similar betting odds, we have missed some enormous value at times during the early part of the week especially in the lower touring series.
For those reasons, I will be bringing back the “early betting picks” for the 2024 season. However, these early betting picks will not be emailed but rather posted on the site like our other previews. However if there are opportunities where bettors need to lock-in early betting value, I will post a preview, locked to our subscribers, that highlights each early betting selection. With the addition to the push notifications described above, subscribers will also get these alerts as soon as they are published. Keep in mind, I’m not guaranteeing early picks every week. However, there will be weeks where early betting picks are released and may include picks from multiple series in the same article. Again, these early selections will be easily found on the website and are aimed at optimizing our ROI for the entire season!
