GoBowling.com 400 Practice 1 Speeds

The first practice session for the GoBowling.com 400 has concluded at Pocono Raceway. After 80 minutes of schedule practice time, our newsletter pick Kurt Busch topped the charts with the fastest lap of the session at 180.353mph. If you remember back in June, Busch had one of his strongest runs of the season qualifying 2nd, running inside the top 5 all day, and ultimately finishing 3rd. Busch brought the same chassis back to Pocono this week and early indications show the #41 car will be strong again. Outside of Busch, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, and Clint Bowyer rounded out the top 5. Keselowski led a race high 95 laps back in June at the Pocono 400 but lost the race with 5 laps to go when he tried to use the lap car of Danica Patrick to remove a piece of trash from the grill of his racecar. Keselowski returns to Pocono looking to avenge that late race mistake and earn his 2nd victory at Pocono Raceway this Sunday.
