AJ Allmendinger earned his first Sprint Cup Series victory today at Watkins Glen International by winning the Cheez-It 355. Allmendinger and Marcos Ambrose had an epic battle for the victory over the final two restarts of the race that featured both drivers banging off each other while exchanging the lead back and forth. The “Dinger” was able to squeeze Ambrose off the course in turn 6 as the two cars came to the white flag and lead the entire final lap to earn his first career victory in the Sprint Cup Series. Despite being 0 in 212 in his Sprint Cup Series career, our staff at NASCARWagers.com picked Allmendinger at 14 to 1 odds and cashed in a nice winning ticket this afternoon. Next week the Sprint Cup Series heads back to Michigan and the home of the fastest track in NASCAR. Be sure to keep up with our early picks and race analysis throughout the week.
