Tonight the Camping World Truck Series returns to action at one of the most exciting venues in all of NASCAR marking the Truck Series return to dirt at Eldora Speedway for the 1-800-CarCash Mudsummer Classic. For one night only, racing goes back to its roots providing a Saturday night style schedule of events with qualifying, heat races, and a 150 lap main event. A few of NASCAR’s big names like Brad Keselowski and the 2013 inaugural Mudsummer Classic winner Austin Dillon will all be in action tonight. Take a look as we give a brief preview and provide our 2015 1-800-CarCash Mudsummer Classic race picks!

As I write this, the heat races are currently underway at Eldora Speedway. Under this unique Saturday night style format, it is pretty hard to give a thorough rundown of all the events that have unfolded with qualifying, heat races, and a main event all running closely back to back. However one of the surprises of the night thus far has been the #63 truck of Bobby Pierce. Pierce posted the fastest lap in qualifying and looked really strong is his heat race winning convincingly. The young 18 year old was the 2014 UMP Dirt Latemodel Champion just one year ago and his dirt racing skills have been on full display so far this evening.

Outside of Pierce, John Hunter Nemechek was a surprise in the 2nd heat race of the night rallying from a 3rd place starting spot to win the heat race. Ken Schrader, Christopher Bell, and XXXXX also scored heat race wins. Overall, nobody has looked over dominant meaning we could have a wild and crazy 150 lap main event. We will definitely see who has the consistency and can make the right moves to survive the entire main event. Odds will be posted briefly before the main event so be sure to check back shortly as we provide our full betting card for tonight’s main event in the 1-800-CarCash Mudsummer Classic at Eldora.

Erik Jones +750 (1.5 units): strong effort in 2014 race at Eldora before suspension issues in the main event, early week forums pick, finished 3rd in his heat race.
Tyler Reddick +600 (1 unit): strong dirt track background, been really strong all of 2015. Looked to settle in nicely during end of heat race indicating long run speed.
