WinStar World Casino and Resort 350 Race Picks

The Camping World Truck Series will kickoff 3 straight days of racing at Texas Motor Speedway later tonight in the WinStar World Casino and Resort 350. Green flag is planned to wave at 8:49pm (EST) and 147 laps are scheduled on the books for tonight’s event. Truck Series teams participated in two different practice sessions on Thursday. Johnny Sauter proved to be the strongest in each of those sessions as the #98 truck topped 180mph in both practices to lead all other drivers. Timothy Peters was also noticeably strong finishing 2nd and 3rd in both sessions. We sent out our WinStar World Casino and Resort 350 race picks earlier this week in our NASCARWagers.com newsletter. In case you missed it, we have copied our thoughts and race picks below from our newsletter this week. Also, be sure to check back closer to race time for added plays and H2H matchups as we go for our 6th straight profitable race in the Camping World Truck Series.

From our Newsletter:

“Kyle Busch returns to the Camping World Truck Series this week in the #51 Truck. Rowdy had missed several Truck Series races in recent weeks as he put all of his focus on the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Now that Busch is no longer in the Chase, he returns this week as a huge favorite to win the WinStar World Casino and Resort 350. While the odds are heavily skewed, Busch is the most deserving favorite as he has won in every start this year (4 for 4) in the Truck Series on 1.5 mile speedways. In fact, the #51 truck has won 5 of the 6 races this year on 1.5 mile speedways if you account Erik Jones victory at Chicagoland. Kyle Busch Motorsports Trucks have finished 1-2 in 2 of the last 3 races on the 1.5 mile speedways if you also throw in Darrell Wallace Jr’s runner-up finishes at both Las Vegas and Kentucky.

Obviously Kyle Busch is a must-have on anyone’s roster this week in the #51 truck. Possibly the hardest part will be deciding how you want to bet Busch with multiple single units or wait to parlay him closer to race time; perhaps a little of both. Outside of the Rowdy, do not look past teammate Darrell Wallace Jr either. Bubba’s win last week at Martinsville has him just 22 points out of the points lead with just 3 races to go. We already pointed out that Bubba has two runner-up finishes in his last 3 starts on the 1.5 mile speedways in that #54 truck and he his current odds hold some value at +550. The only driver that has won on a 1.5 mile speedway outside of the KBM trucks is points leader Matt Crafton who accomplished that feat right here at Texas earlier this season. Crafton has not been as strong during the 2nd half of the season as he was earlier this year. However, the #88 truck still has some value at +675 as those odds will likely decrease before race time. At this point in the week, the #51, #54, and #88 should easily be the trucks to beat once the green flag drops Friday night.”
