2019 CarShield 200 Race Picks

After a wild conclusion last week at Iowa, the Gander Outdoors Truck Series returns this week for primetime action under the lights at the World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway for the running of the CarShield 200. Despite winning last week’s race at Iowa, Ross Chastain’s #44 truck was disqualified for failing post-race ride height giving the victory to Brett Moffitt who originally finished 2nd. The disqualification for Chastain was an epic blow to the #44 team after Chastain recently declared eligible for the Truck Series points championship and desperately needed the win to become playoff eligible. As Chastain and the #44 team seek another needed victory, another major storyline entering the weekend includes the 1 race suspension of Johnny Sauter following last week’s retaliatory wreck to Austin Hill under caution. Without one of the weekly main betting favorites in Sauter, it should open the window of opportunity for other competitors to compete for the victory.
