2018 Food City 500 Race Predictions

The “old” Bristol has returned or at least those are the expectations heading into tomorrow’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. All weekend through practices and even in today’s Xfinity Series race, the preferred groove stayed at the bottom of the racetrack thanks to the PJ1 grip compound. The added grip compound was introduced during the spring race last year and NASCAR has worked to perfect the levels of the grip on the track. So far everything has molded back into the old Bristol as drivers fight for the bottom of the racetrack which has caused a lot of rubbing and fender flaring. With those circumstances in place, tomorrow’s Food City 500 could be one of the most exciting races thus far this season. We take this time to preview our expectations and provide our 2018 Food City 500 race picks!
