Alexander Rossi will be the first American to start an F1 race since Scott Speed was sacked in mid 2007 on Sunday.

This race looks absolutely awesome by the way

Any fastest laps besides the iceman which I'll always take.

By the way optional has he won a fast lap this season yet?

Yeah we hit fast lap with him twice this year already. Bahrain and Montreal. Pretty certain you had at least one of those. Prob both...

Ricciardo has got it 3 times this year too. But don't think I have taken him for any of them somehow!

Hamilton and Rosberg have the rest. Mostly Hamilton.

Mercedes are only 5th and 6th on grid after quali. Soundly spanked for 1 lap pace by both Ferrari and Red Bull.

Red Bull looks stronger on race pace than Ferrari.

This is the sort of race for lomgshot fastest lap bets btw.

It will be a 3 stop race and there has been a safety car at least once every year the race has run... so lots of chances for mixups and late pit stops to see any old car setting it.

Hamilton, Vettel and Hulkenburg are last three fastest lap makers at Singapore.  Ham and Vettel won race as well a fast lap last 2 years... Hulk winning it was caused by one of the race mixup situations.

The new version Force India car has not performed as well as expected around here during practice.

I still like Perez for a top 10 but odds should be better than the -120 I took pre practice.  Want at least +120 now.

Not for a top 6 though.

BTW... if you want t support the new US driver Rossi... he already looks WAY better than Will Stevens who has been in the car all year. So can take him in that head to head when posted.

Well faster anyway. He has made a couple of errors but I am thinking that is because he is a real racer and out there finding the edge before racing starts.

Lot of names even I know are HUGE fastest lap odds 80-1 to 150-1

I'm sure there's a reason but worth a shot at any cause I'll def take kimi for sure even at +600

Yeah Kimi for sure, probably Ricciardo too.

Need to think/read a bit more about possible startegies and will make a few longshot picks soon. (well after Xfin)

Ricciardo fast lap

Hamilton retired with a mechanical issue.

Safety cars wrecked the race. Ricciardo v Vettel battle was building up to a head a couple of times and each time a SC came out and allowed them all to change tyres without risk of losing places.

My early Perez top 10 bet left me even for the race.  Piled onto Lewis for a Top 3 late and that killed profit.

Back to back races with Japanese GP on next weekend
