Figured I'd start a thread for this weeks trip to Augusta.  I actually have a friend Scott Harvey playing in the tournament after he won the US Mid Amateur last year...his chances are low but would love to see him make the cut!

Haven't really researched my picks yet but I'm inclined to look at guys like Jimmy Walker, Dustin Johnson, and Jason Day...all 3 have a great way of being around on Sunday and have been playing well this year.  I'm also trying to find some longshot picks to win and maybe a few top 10 bets.  I really like JB Holmes and liked him before he won yesterday!  His odds were in the 75-1 range and now they are 45-1 after winning in Houston.

Statistically speaking, driving distance and greens in regulation win this tournament.  Accuracy and short-game have proven to be negligible stats at Augusta believe it or not.

Should be a great week of golf, who do you like?

Not my plays.  If i play them, and they win, I'll feel bad for not sharing.

Scott 23-1
Kuchar 38-1
Woods 42-1
Westwood 55-1

I'll play these for a couple bucks each.  I saw you can start open parlays also.  Might start 1-2 of those as well.

I always play a few for the Majors. I will post my picks tomorrow or Wednesday. I have a personal rule that I am betting Jordan Spieth until he wins a major, banking that it will not take long before he does  :cheers

Spieth is now the 2nd overall favorite at +890...I agree with you but its tough to take those low odds with such a stacked field!

Great thing about the Masters is there's always at least 2 longshots (50-1 or greater) with a chance to win on Sunday...figuring out who that's going to be prior to Thursday is the tough part!

I might take a few shots as well usually do on 1-2 (usually just masters and the open ) majors a year not that I follow golf at all but have been lucky a few times in the past few years.  Not sure who haven't bet yet.  Maybe take a few early and 1-2 after the cut but most will just be long shots like u guys of course

Shit forgot starts tomorrow so if I take a few b4 it starts ill post but would be pure luck for me to even have a chance so would play more after cut hoping for a chance on Sunday but no favs by any means after cut. Usually great odds on great golfers after cut 4 or 5 back which can be nothing at all in my little experience betting golf 1-2 times a years. Hit els that way 2 years ago @ 65-1 but has him for the start

GOODLUCK to all u guys this weekend in the golf tourney.

I just followed a few of ur guys and 1-2 I liked anyways

Woods
Kucher
Day
Holmes
Scott
Els (just cause he won a major fore a few years ago)

All long shots pretty much besides Scott but still well into teens at almost 20-1

If I have no chance on weekend I'll MIGHT add 2 more after the cut just for a reason to keep watching it on and off.  but nobody in top 3-5 or anything  starting Saturday.   Just more longer shots

Looks like a rough time outside of Day. I'll probably bet Speith later in some way.

His odds might be unbeatable Ithen again I haven't even looked at my plays. But not gonna keep betting unless I have no chance after the cut and will add just 1-2  longshots maybe

Guessing ur saying he had a great day I haven't even looked but if he's in the hunt his odds will be garbage
