Ok guys, the Truck Series returns this week with the Kroger 250 at Martinsville  :cheers. Green flag is scheduled to wave at 2:46PM (EST) on Saturday. As most of you know, I have been really strong in this series and I think this weekend's race will be another great opportunity for a solid payday!

Interesting notes:

*Joey Logano will be in the #29 Cooper Standard Ford owned by Brad Keselowski

*JR Motorsports will make their Truck Series debut this weekend with Cole Custer in the #00 Haas Automation Chevy. Custer made his Truck Series debut at Martinsville last March and finished 12th and later in the year became the youngest winner in CWTS history in Loudon at just 16 years old.

Nice heads up about JrM truck team. Wonder who built this truck.

I did a little bit of research. Apparently JR Motorsports purchased much of their equipment to build their truck team from Turner Scott Motorsports (the team that decided they would shutdown their organization in the middle of the season last year).  TSM was already running Hendrick engines so I guess that sounds pretty natural for JR Motorsports to get some of their assets. Therefore, they should be pretty solid I would expect. Custer is a short track specialist, should have a solid run if he stays out of trouble.

Ah, good news. TSM looked like they were going to be THE truck team in 2013 before imploding last year.

Took Erik Jones +550

I tailed U here he went up just a little to +600 early this morning so I went ahead.

Also added the field for CUSTER. (+1450)

Probably add 1 more maybe 1 more winner or parlay heading I to sunday. Open parlay that is of course

Left room to add i case he gets better cause wvweybody and his brother is gonna bet Logano off name alone, plus he'll have a good truck.  Not sure if Id even parlay him not sure of his truck experience right off hand.

Earlier rain caused the Truck Series to have just 1 extended practice session today for 2.5 hours. I have watched nearly the entire practice so here are my thoughts from sessions alone:

#4 Erik Jones: just jumped up to 3rd with 20+ minutes to go, most of the session has been a tad off in speed. During an interview, Jones said "car is handling better than it ever has here, we just need to find a little more speed"

#00 Cole Custer: has looked really good on lap times, currently leading, but has not really run any long consecutive runs. It will be interesting to see what type of fall off we see from driver and truck in the #00 camp.

#29 Joey Logano: by far looks the best in race trim, was top of charts most of practice, now listed 2nd, times are really good on long runs

#98 Johnny Sauter: looks to have a solid ride, has been borderline top 5 throughout practice, seemed to be pretty happy with the Truck

#17 Timothy Peters: has not been happy with the Truck, says the team is "close" but just has not got any better yet, listed 15th

#88 Matt Crafton: put down a fast lap early, does not appear to have a winning truck but #88 does not have much fall off either. He did not look like a winning Truck here last year but somehow got it done, so who knows.

Crafton a lot like Kenseth, takes care of equipment and at end. Where in the hell did he come from

Loved what announcers mentioned Bowyer tweeted. Practice longer than race will be  :lol
