I went with Raonic over Nishikori

Nishikori has been playing the best tennis of his career, though. This after he was pretending to be seriously injured before the tournament.

Nishi is so fragile. I like him but hate betting on him.

Good luck with Raonic.

He's won 3 matches without even losing 5 games in a set.

Raonic has lost a set and won five other sets in tiebreaks. He's having trouble breaking serve (not unusual).

So on current form, Nishikori is a steal. Betting the other way anyway.

Opti, you've probably seen, but:

Quote
Kei Nishikori, the No. 10 seed at the U.S. Open, says he does not know whether he is fit to play following surgery to remove a cyst in his right foot.

Nishikori withdrew from Masters events in Toronto and Cincinnati as a result. He has decided to play the U.S. Open. The 24-year-old said he "had doubts about my decision but I am going to take a chance."

"I haven't had match practice and I don`t know if I will be able to keep up when it comes to quick movement," Nishikori was quoted saying by the Kyodo news agency. "If the pain comes back on the day of the game I don't know if I will play."

Nishikori has had injury problems throughout the year. He experienced a back injury in Madrid where he was runner-up to Rafael Nadal, and returned to play the French Open, exiting in the first round.

I saw in the comments, people were saying he should withdraw and let someone fit play, rather than hogging a spot.

Bad luck Yis.

Agree could not take Nishi with that hanging over him. But I think it is worth noting for the future that if he plays he is probably ok, because he drops out very easily if he is worried about injury I think. Just because he is so fragile and is wary of hurting himself more I think.

I didn't even fade that bastard Nishikori today because I'm basically empty at the places I bet tennis at.

Watch him lose now. Definitely my least favorite tennis player. He just loves screwing me over.

You can almost call that no play a winner!
