Bristol Motor Speedway, aka Thunder Valley, will showcase some of the most beloved racing amongst motorsports fans this week with all 3 of NASCAR’s touring series battling short track style at the world’s fastest half mile speedway. The Camping World Truck Series will get the action started early this week with the running of the UNOH 200 on Wednesday night. The Nationwide Series will follow suit with the Food City 300 on Friday night and the weekend will conclude with the infamous IRWIN Tools night race on Saturday. As we prepare for a full week of racing, we would like to dive into Wednesday night’s Truck Series race and provide our UNOH 200 race picks!

UNOH 200 – NASCAR Camping World Truck Series

Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski will join Truck Series competition this Wednesday night. Both Busch and Keselowski are among Bristol heavyweights for their accomplishments in both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series. However, Keselowski has not been near as good in the Trucks at Bristol or in general for that matter. Keselowski has never won in the Truck Series in 61 starts. Perhaps more surprisingly is the fact the Keselowski has never finished in the top 5 in 6 starts at Bristol despite the fact he has been one of the best drivers at Bristol on the Sprint Cup side. Therefore, bettors may want to think twice before they add Keselowski to their betting cards this Wednesday night because there is a likely chance his odds will be overpriced.

Instead drivers like Kyle Busch, Timothy Peters, and perhaps Ryan Blaney may be the best drivers to consider this week. Kyle Busch is the undisputed king of Bristol with 16 wins over all touring series including 4 wins in 8 starts in the Camping World Truck Series. Along with Rowdy, Timothy Peters will be a guy to keep at the top of your list this week as well. Peters won this race in 2012 and was edged out by Busch at the finish line last year in another near victory. Peters is known for his short track abilities and Bristol has turned into one of his best race tracks with 3 straight top 5 finishes. Finally, bettors should also take a look at Ryan Blaney this week. Depending on the odds, Blaney may be a decent underdog to consider. Blaney has shown some impressive short track skills, most notably at Iowa. However, Blaney has two top 10’s in his only two Bristol starts which includes a 3rd place finish in this race one year ago. Keep an eye on that #29 Truck as an outside threat to win the UNOH 200 on Wednesday night.

Race activities will not start for the Camping World Truck Series until Wednesday with a full days of practices and qualifying which will lead up to the green flag at approximately 8:46pm (EST). However, we feel very confident in our expectations for Wednesday night’s 200 mile Truck Race at Thunder Valley. Take a look at our race picks gather from opening odds for the UNOH 200. Also be sure to check back late Wednesday after qualifying for possible added plays and H2H matchups.
